The following items are basic items we recommend you bring:
8 ft. to 9 ft. 4 or 5 wt. Rod, with reel and floating line to match (rental available, included in trips listed as with all necessary equipment)
Breathable Waders (rental available, included in trips listed as with all necessary equipment)
Felt soled or studded wading boots (for several of our local waters, studded boots are very helpful) (rental available, included in trips listed as with all necessary equipment)
Capilene®, Regulator® or other synthetic long underwear for use under waders (not absolutely necessary, but will make you much more comfortable) (heavier weight in winter lightweight in summer, lightweight pants or shorts can be worn in summer)
Polarized sunglasses most ideal, but at least sunglasses of some type
Sunscreen
Lip balm
Waterproof rain jacket (breathable fabrics are most comfortable)
Hat with visor for sun protection
Camera
Other items for warm weather, summer fishing:
Insect repellant
Lightweight quick drying shirts and pants/shorts
Buzz Off Insect repelling clothing
Rain pants if you aren’t wearing waders
For wet wading neoprene guard socks or wading sock with gravel guards
Other items that can make cold weather, winter, early spring, late fall fishing more comfortable:
Fingerless Gloves
Fleece jackets and pants
Insulated hats such as fleece or wool
Insulated heavier weight socks
Boot foot waders
For guide trips the following is provided, but can be helpful if you are separated from your guide. If you are fishing on your own, you will need this stuff.
