Stoneflies Natural Imitations
Trout fishing flies are basically man-made, or stoneflies that is used in fly fishing. They are designed to mimic the fish’s natural food or prey and eventually attract it to strike at the hook. They are a perfect, if not the only substitute for natural bait like worms, the crustaceans, insects, and the smaller fish that this fish feed on. If you are an amateur angler or are just want to get better results from your fishing expedition, you should visit your local fly shop to get yourself some trout fishing stoneflies. However, if you have little or no understanding of the fishes feeding habits and prey, you could easily be spending more time visiting these shops than casting your line. It will pay off big time to try and understand the actual types of insects or generally, prey that your fishing flies are trying to mimic (in their design), hence, stoneflies natural imitations.
